Far Cry 5

I remember the first time I heard about the Far Cry series. I was in an Xbox Live party with a friend and he started laughing like there was no tomorrow. For ages he was just howling to himself. When he eventually composed himself he was like “Brooooo, You need to play this game” and of course I’m like “What Game?” and he says “Far Cry 2 man, you can do some crazy stuff. I just ran over Zebra! HAHAH! I just did it again.” I’m not ashamed to say, I wanted to run over some Zebra so when Far Cry 3 was released I jumped all over that game so that I could get the chance to explore the vast realm that came with it.

Assassins Creed Origins

Assassins Creed Origins is the 10th iteration to a gaming series that has blessed out lives for the past decade, with the original Assassins Creed being released in 2007. In recent years some have found that the AC brand had become a bit stale as it was all the same clunky engine throughout the different iterations.

Curbing a gaming addiction

Since the day I got my Xbox 360 back in secondary school, I have been addicted to gaming. What can I say, it’s satisfying to jump into a game and forget the world. One minute you could be shoulder to shoulder with your brothers in arms whilst hunting down the enemy team and the next you could be taking a sunset cruise down Los Santos’s beach. The possibilities are endless. Read More

How gaming can bridge a social class

Whilst dividing ourselves into social class isn’t really a healthy way of us all living together it is a fact that there are many different types of people. That being said, no one class is better than the other and despite the odds of you staying in the same class as your are brought up in anyone can skip through the classes as they wish with enough work.

Call of Duty’s returning to the promise land?

Call of Duty’s titles have taken us on an adventure from WW2 all the way into the future of space warfare, which is hopefully closer than we think…The Space bit, not the warfare. I personally preferred the older style of games and my all-time favourite was CoD: Modern Warfare 2. I think it may have been because it was the first game that I binged on when I made the move to PC but it was and is great.

Top 10 games of 2016 – Unit Sales and thoughts

This is a quick round-up of the best-selling games of last year. Some of the games on the list are a bit of shock but most of them you would expect to see them on the list. There are a few however that didn’t make the list, which is very surprising. However, I understand that my taste in games is very different to the masses, personally I’d be happy with new releases of Far Cry and Assassins Creed and I would be content with life. (Side Note – I am a big Ubisoft fan, they just seem to make all my favourite games).

Call of Duty’s Throwback

Along with CoD: Infinite Warfare being released on November 4th, 2016. The CoD franchise is also having a throwback to what is arguably one of the best CoD’s that was ever released. That is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. CoD 4 was the starting point for most CoD players and I believe it to be the game that skyrocketed the franchise.

The announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 brought back a lot of fond memories. I had such fun chasing my friends on the back of horses trying to scope them across the desert.

The holy grail that is Steam

What is Steam?

If you don’t know what Steam is then you need to come out from under the rock you have been living under for the past decade and get to terms with the ultimate gaming marketplace. Steam is the centre of (mostly) the whole PC gaming community. There are other gaming marketplaces that PC gamers can use but Steam, in my opinion, has won the market and not in an iPhone vs Android kind of way, more like a Heinz beans vs the world kind of way.
