Call of Duty’s titles have taken us on an adventure from WW2 all the way into the future of space warfare, which is hopefully closer than we think…The Space bit, not the warfare. I personally preferred the older style of games and my all-time favourite was CoD: Modern Warfare 2. I think it may have been because it was the first game that I binged on when I made the move to PC but it was and is great.
CoD had a bit of a throwback recently were they released a remastered version of CoD:4. It was epic. It was a blast from the past that we needed. I spent so much time play CoD:4 with my group of friends that I couldn’t wait to play it.
Now Activision has announced that the next iteration of the well-known franchise “will take Call of Duty back to its roots.”. Could it be that CoD is going back to its old ways? Could there be a new fan favourite? Can they out do MW2? These are big questions that will need answering this year.
For Activision to make such a bold statement then they must have something up their sleeves that will blow the market away and I’m really excited to see what comes of it. To be honest, if the game is half as good as MW2 then I’ll already be spending many, Many nights in the battle.
There has been a lot of talk of where this iteration may be set but frankly there are many ”current” warzones that could be implemented into the game but some may be a bit more sensitive than others.
Keeps your eyes peeled for what may come of CoD in the near future and let me know in the comments down below where you would like to see this game set.
