Some of you may remember the Nokia 3310. Some of you may still have one in your drawer that is still on 80% battery life. Some say that when the world comes to a fiery end the only proof of man’s existence will be a cluster of Nokia 3310’s that will live on.
Great news has come out this year that the Nokia 3310 is making a comeback. If you didn’t know the 3310 was famed for its long battery life. At present, we class a long battery life to mean not dying before you get home. The 3310’s battery would last for days and the concept of having to charge your phone every day wasn’t a thing. Charging your phone was an afterthought that would happen from time to time.
HMD, who are the manufactures behind the Nokia phones, are set to release four new phones. These include the Nokia 3,5,6 and the love child of the 3310. So far these are just rumours that have come from the well-known Evan Blass so we have high hopes. These phones were initially just meant to be released in China but it seems with the latest news on the subject there may be an international release. I truly hope there is because then I can have a 3310 in my back pocket that will ensure I always have juice to make those o so necessary calls.
The specs of the expected 3310 re-release are yet to be announced or confirmed but here’s hoping that they bring back snake and the make the battery something to rave about. Let’s be honest, it’s not the 3310 if the battery doesn’t outlast its user. Keep a look out for all the news to come.
